Discover the stunning landscapes and rich culture of Morocco on a day trip from Marrakech to Ouarzazate and the UNESCO World Heritage site Kasbah Ait Benhaddou. Travel in comfort in an air-conditioned vehicle for a smooth and enjoyable journey.
Start with a morning pickup from your Marrakech hotel or riad between 7 and 8 am. Drive through the breathtaking Atlas Mountains and stop for photos and a breakfast break at Ait Barka mountain peak near Toufliht village, enjoying the local culture and peaceful surroundings. Cross the Tizi n’Tichka pass, 7415 feet (2260 meters) above sea level, with panoramic mountain views. Continue to Ouarzazate, home to the famous Atlas Film Studios, seen in popular productions like Game of Thrones. Explore the studios or enjoy the unique landscapes nearby.
Arrive and meet your local guide at Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, a historic ksar or ighrem along the ancient caravan route between the Sahara Desert and Marrakech. This site is a great example of Moroccan earthen clay architecture and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since
1987, showcasing Morocco’s rich cultural and architectural heritage. Then enjoy lunch at a local restaurant with scenic views on theKasbah Ait Benhaddou.
Visit Atlas Studios, famous for its movie sets seen in films like Gladiator and Game of Thrones, located in the desert and mountains near Ouarzazate.
Please note: The entrance ticket for Atlas Studios is not included. If most of the group prefers not to enter, we will view the studio from outside and continue to the next destination.
