3-Days Morocco Desert Tour from Marrakech to Marzouga
We did a 3 day private Marrakech to Merzouga tour, and we had a wonderful experience with our driver Abdoul. He arrived promptly, his English was excellent (and well dressed), and the car was a newer model and well kept.
Abdoul was very charismatic, and patient with our questions. His driving is good and we felt safe with him being the wheel. The tour itself was well organized, our favorite highlights were the Sahara desert camel ride and the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, where we do opt for a tour guide but honestly, that was not needed.
Couple tips, make sure to install Whatsapp before arriving since everyone here communicates through it. And have plenty of Moroccan Dirham since credit cards are not widely accepted — we had to stop by a currency exchange place mid way since we ran out of Moroccan currency. Also, pack light for the camp portion since it’s pretty short and the camel ride is long.
Only small things we would improve on this trip - and it isnt the fault of Abdoul or the tour company - is that we wish the luxury Sahara camp had more food - they ran out of the main dish at dinner and breakfast, and it would be nice if the camp had warm water for the showers.
