Your day begins with pickup from your hotel or riad in Marrakech between 8:00 AM and 8:30 AM. We’ll drive for around 1h30 before stopping in the small town of Ouled Khellouf for a coffee break, WC stop, and a chance to have breakfast if you didn’t eat early at your hotel. This spot also offers a great view of the Atlas countryside, perfect for your first photo of the day!
We’ll then continue for another 1h15 to reach the stunning Ouzoud Waterfalls, the highest in Morocco and 2nd Highest after Victoria Falls is a waterfall on the Zambezi River which located on the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. Ouzoud waterfalls is a popular tourist
destination in North Africa and Morocco tours.
At the waterfalls, your local (Italian – English – Spanish – French – Tamazight – Arabic) speaking guide “we call him small Wikipedia” will welcome you and lead a scenic walk through olive tree paths, sharing stories about the region’s culture and history. You’ll stop at several viewpoints to take pictures of the amazing 110-metre-high cascades.
You’ll also have the chance to swim at the base of the waterfalls, or simply enjoy the fresh mist and natural beauty around you. During the walk, you will take a traditional wooden boat ride that brings you up close to the falls. The boatmen often help you take cinematic videos and photos, fun and memorable!
After your boat ride and swimming, you’ll have time to enjoy lunch at a local Moroccan restaurant with a great view of the waterfalls. The meal is not included, but the guide can help you choose a spot with delicious local food.
After lunch, you’ll have some free time to relax, listen to the sound of the falls, and take in the peaceful mountain setting. Then, the guide will gather the group and walk you back to the top to meet the driver for the return trip back to Marrakesh.
We’ll stop again on the way back for a coffee, WC, and smoking break, and arrive in Marrakech around 7:00 PM, with drop-off at the same location as pickup or nearby in case of traffic issues during the Holidays.
The Ouzoud Waterfalls are the highest and most spectacular waterfalls in Morocco, located in the Atlas Mountains, about 150 km (93 miles) northeast of Marrakech. They drop over 100 meters (328 feet) into a lush canyon and are surrounded by olive groves, small Berber villages, and monkeys.
